About The Position

The Clinical Support Assistant at St. Mary's Medical Center is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients throughout the facility. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive timely care and support during their stay at the medical center, under the guidance of the Manager of Patient Transport/Customer Service.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a nurse aide program preferred.
• Nurse aide experience preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working with the public and/or patients and their families helpful.
• Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions from nursing staff.
• Ability to lift patients and operate transport equipment.
• Good body mechanics and nimble hands.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Maintains BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients throughout the Medical Center.
• Assist in ensuring patient comfort during transport.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and patients.
• Operate transport equipment as needed.
