About The Position

ACNY is a group private practice focusing on competent, quality and accessible therapy in New York state. We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Clinical Supervisor. Under the general direction of the Clinical Director, the Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and development of the assigned Staff Therapists. The Supervisor will provide ongoing clinical group supervision and consultation, support clinicians in following policies and procedures, and promote a positive work culture. Compensation is $75/hour for clinical supervision, $37.50/hour for administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Clinical expertise in evidence-based methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, including crisis intervention
  • Proficiency in working as part of a comprehensive mental health team and to represent ACNY in the community

  • Advanced degree in a mental health discipline with active licensure in the state of New York (LCSW, PsyD, PhD)
  • At least three (3) years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing
  • Psychotherapy to individuals, couples, multiple-partner relationships, and/or families
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in providing therapy in your specialty/niche
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity
  • Education, training, and demonstrated success in implementing modalities, such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy
  • Able to be credentialed for billing with all of ACNY’s contracted insurance providers
  • Home office must be private with secure and dependable Wi-Fi connection

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the hiring and orientation of new clinical staff, as needed
  • Participates in and collaborates with clinicians around ongoing training and professional development activities to enrich and enhance clinical skills and acumen
  • Facilitates ongoing collaborative assessment of strengths, challenges, and areas of growth in therapists’ clinical work, performance of essential job duties and team membership
  • Contributes to delivery of structured, timely and constructive performance evaluations on a routine or as-needed basis and collaborates with therapists on developing action plans for growth or improvement
  • Responsible for quality assurance in the delivery of services, including clinical care and documentation, and signing progress notes
  • Reviews therapist productivity and retention metrics; works collaboratively with therapists and clinical director to promote productivity and retention as needed
  • Provide timely response to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders (within 24 hours)
  • Responds to supervisees, clients, and colleagues in a timely manner using available communication tools
  • Meeting with the Clinical Director on a regular basis and as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Supervising and overseeing the clinical work of 5-6 clinicians in a group supervision setting.
  • Reviewing documentation as needed
