Hospice Clinical Supervisor Job Description Summary The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services. The Clinical Supervisor establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy. Job Functions/Responsibilities Assist and coordinates and all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel. Provides guidance and counseling to clinical team to assist them in continually improving all aspects of hospice care services, provided through organization personnel. Plans, coordinates and effectively communicates clinical team staffing and schedules. Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume that could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses. Conflict and complaint management and resolution with patients and families. Staff development including orientation, inservice, continuing education, competency testing and quality assessment performance improvement, which includes staying current with clinical information and practices. Directing staff in performance of their duties including admission, discharge, transfer, revocation, re-certifications, and provision of service to patients. Complete appropriate data collection, chart audits, and report to governing body Responsible for the maintenance of adequate and appropriate inventory supplies and equipment for the provision of patient services. Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and, maintains compliance to the CHAP Home Care standards. Promotes hospice referrals in the health care community
