About The Position

Direct program and services for adolescent and/or adult residential treatment facility. Assist in supervision of clinical therapy staff and oversee residential direct care services for clients and their families. Responsibilities include assisting in monitoring and ensuring program licensing and regulatory compliance, coordination of treatment assessments, plans, reviews, and charting accuracy; supervision and development of clinical staff and conducting of performance evaluations; clinical program and staff scheduling; monitoring of staff productivity and efficient delivery of services; coordinating all aspects of direct care delivery, facility maintenance, and client safety.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology or related field and three years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.
  • Experience with youth preferred..

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for clinical and direct supervision of Clinicians and other support staff as directed by Clinical Director or Executive Director.
  • Working alongside other key members of the team, including psychiatrist, nurse, clinicians, leadership, other clinical support staff, shall direct and coordinate clinical services from intake to discharge.
  • Understand and master all aspects of client charts and documentation.
  • Training and Supervisory: Shall assist Clinical Director in developing training programs especially for: Clinicians, Interns/Associates, Support Staff, Any other Clinical Personnel as appropriate.
  • Maintains a caseload of at minimum two clients as assigned. This includes all duties as the client’s therapist including but not limited to, individual therapy sessions, family sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, and concurrent review documentation, and discharge planning.
  • Assists clinicians in providing process groups, psychoeducational groups or family groups as assigned.
  • Facilitates Clinical Team meeting alongside Clinical Director with all Clinicians weekly to offer support, assistance with more complex clients, and families.
  • Provides regular, comprehensive clinical documentation and assists in maintaining charting in client record in accordance with State, County, and Agency standards, to include individual sessions, group sessions, concurrent review documentation, treatment plans, incident reporting and crisis interventions.
  • Attends all required staff meetings, in services trainings and workshops as assigned.
  • Cooperates and communicates fully with other staff members regarding patient behavior, progress, activities, etc.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner in areas of dress, language, attitude, and behavior.

  • Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
