The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director of Mental Health with clinical supervision of assigned staff members, shared administrative duties, including facilitating staff meetings, managing the high-risk protocol, managing patient crises, and additional duties that will be assigned by the Director of Mental Health. As part of the essential functions of this role, the Clinical Supervisor: Provides clinical and professional development of staff through weekly clinical supervisions and staff meetings, and maintains supervisory notes according to agency standards Provides clinical management of the Department, including screening individuals who identify a risk factor upon intake (suicidality, homicidally, risk of overdose or domestic violence); works closely with Behavioral Health intake staff to manage placement of individuals seeking service, covers clinic in event of staff callouts, shortage, or client crisis Conducts initial psychosocial assessments and provides initial treatment recommendations and collaboratively with the patient develops a personalized treatment plan with emphasis on evidence-based practice within a harm reduction orientation Provides resources and referrals as indicated to facilitate achievement of a patient’s treatment goals Provides psychotherapy and crisis intervention to individuals and families who are dealing with a variety of issues, including but not limited to mental health, co-occurring substance use disorders, chronic medical conditions, including HIV, HCV, and issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity
