About the Job Provision of clinical supervision to an assigned group of Resident Talk Therapists who provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, and counseling in an outpatient setting for a diverse caseload that can include adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families.

Requirements

  • Active license in good standing and residing within the state in which supervision will be provided
  • Meets state regulatory requirements for the provision of supervision to include maintaining required license and certifications necessary to provide supervision to license-in-process individuals, those already approved by their state board for supervision preferred
  • Active credentialing with the required Incident-to panels within the state where supervision will be provided
  • Have been a Thriveworks Clinician for at least 3 months
  • Clinical supervision shall be rendered by a Clinical Social Worker licensed by New Jersey who is in good standing.
  • The New Jersey LCSW shall have been licensed for a minimum of three years; and Have completed at least 20 continuing education credits of post-graduate coursework related to clinical supervision approved by the Board. (A Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) course shall not satisfy this requirement in whole or part.)
  • Clinical supervision shall be rendered by a Professional Counselor licensed by New Jersey who is in good standing.
  • The New Jersey LPC shall have been licensed for a minimum of three years.
  • The supervisor shall possess a clinical supervisor's certificate from the National Board for Certified Counselors Center for Credentialing and Education; An equivalent clinical supervisor credential recognized by the individual’s respective professional healthcare licensing board; Or have completed a minimum of three graduate credits in clinical supervision from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
  • Additionally, the supervisor "shall have obtained 4,500 hours of work experience subsequent to holding a clinical license to provide mental health counseling services. The 4,500 hours shall have been obtained over a minimum of three years, but no more than six years; and the individual shall hold an approved clinical supervisor credential from the Center for Credentialing and Education of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) or an equivalent clinical supervisor credential recognized by the individual's respective professional healthcare licensing board, if applicable, or shall have completed a minimum of three graduate credits in clinical supervision from a regionally accredited institution of higher education."
  • Alternatively, the qualified supervisor may have been certified by the Board before April 2021.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of supervision to a minimum of six (6) resident clinicians.
  • Provision of weekly group supervision.
  • Provision of individual supervision to each resident clinician for every 15 clinical hours. This would equate to a minimum of 7 hours/week for a supervisor, which varies depending on the Resident caseload size.
  • Willing to maintain a clinical caseload of seeing clients 15-25 sessions per week (no supervision only)
  • Willingness to provide documentation oversight
  • Coaching on professional and clinical development of the resident clinician
  • Completion of weekly documentation as evidence of supervision sessions.
  • Completion of coaching documentation regarding any disciplinary or performance concerns.
  • Collaboration with the Regional Clinical Director regarding any performance issues.
