About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor for the Substance Use Program oversees the clinical evaluation and treatment of clients of all ages and their families, ensuring high-quality, recovery-focused care. This role provides direct clinical services as needed and develops integrated treatment plans to support client progress. The supervisor also trains, guides, and supports assigned staff—including Recovery Space team members—to maintain best practices and program standards. Through leadership and collaboration, the position promotes effective service delivery and a client-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with a concentration in human services, counseling, clinical psychology or social work.
  • Three years of experience as a therapist with at least one year in a supervisory capacity; strong background in family interventions, including chemical dependencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Current Massachusetts license as an LMHC, LCSW, or LICSW.

Responsibilities

  • To oversee clinical evaluations of clients of all ages and families.
  • To oversee treatment of clients of all ages and their families.
  • To document activities according to established RVCC and regulatory standards.
  • To summarize findings and treatment plan in accordance with RVCC procedures for treatment/services and present same to multidisciplinary case disposition team
  • To develop and maintain working knowledge of community services and to ensure that assigned staff is updated on a regular basis.
  • To oversee any necessary outreach, advocacy, or case consultation appropriate to meet the needs of the clients and their families.
  • To provide direct care to clients and families as necessary through utilization of the following:
  • To explain procedure according to age and level of comprehension.
  • To answer questions.
  • To make adjustment based on technical factors.
  • To design and implement an intervention plan that is coordinated and integrated with other services the patient is receiving, as appropriate.
  • To facilitate transitional planning as appropriate.
  • To report abuse/neglect cases to the appropriate regulatory agencies.

  • $56,000 - $66,000 for Master's/LCSW
  • $65,000 - $70,000 for Independently Licensed
  • Based on years of experience, level of education, specialty and licensure/certifications. Additional Compensation for advanced education for qualifying positions.
