Job Summary The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff and the operation and overall flow of the units on his/her designated shift, is a role model for all staff, and provides patient care as needed. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring staff meets the approved Standards of Practice, for managing assigned personnel and unit activities and for promoting cooperative working relationships with physicians and other health care providers. He/she is responsible for process and outcome surveillance of the assigned units to ensure standards of care are met. He/she is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Assists the unit Director in planning, organizing, directing, delegating, and evaluation. The Clinical Supervisor facilitates quality outcomes of patient care and provides leadership in the practice environment.

Requirements

  • BS/BSN preferred.
  • Previous RN supervisory experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience is required in specialty area.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Current RN license in the State of California.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS and Advanced NRP required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
  • AWOHNN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 90 days of hire.
  • Annual 1 hour of stroke education required.
