Job Summary Provides assessment and nursing intervention in all areas of Radiology when requested by physicians and/or procedural protocols. Recognizes and initiates appropriate actions in emergency situations. Contributes nursing expertise in the development of policies, procedures and standards of patient care. Contributes to the educational process for patients, imaging staff and self. May assist in basic cardiac procedures and other areas as need for those working at FPH.

Requirements

  • All (1) newly graduated nurses, (2) re-entry nurses, and (3) nurses new to the U.S. healthcare system must satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. Residency Program within the first 6 months of employment at Emanate Health.
  • Two to three years of experience in special procedures/angiography lab preferred.
  • One year of experience in ICU/CCU/ED or two years of Telemetry/DOU experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Current California RN License.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • PICC Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification "A" required within 3 months of hire/transfer.
  • Annual 4 hours of Stroke Education required for those working at QVH.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to three years of experience in special procedures/angiography lab preferred.
