About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary team of therapists, case managers, and other behavioral health professionals within the New Mexico Solutions Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This position emphasizes the provision, implementation, and supervision of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) services across the program, ensuring evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care for clients. The Clinical Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining treatment fidelity, guiding professional development, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the clinical team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
  • Must hold an independent New Mexico license (LPCC, LISW, LMFT, LPAT, or Licensed Psychologist).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post-licensure clinical experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Formal training and certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) required or eligible within six months of hire.
  • Advanced understanding of DBT principles and application in community behavioral health settings.
  • Strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and case management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and disciplines.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to compliance and quality improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience facilitating DBT groups and supervising clinicians in DBT preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to therapists and case managers, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and agency policies.
  • Oversee clinical documentation, treatment planning, and service delivery to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Support staff development through training, performance feedback, and mentorship.
  • Maintain a balanced caseload as needed to model effective therapeutic practices.
  • Serve as the primary DBT supervisor and point of contact for the agency’s DBT program.
  • Ensure fidelity to DBT principles and protocols through regular consultation, observation, and feedback sessions.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate DBT consultation team meetings.
  • Provide advanced DBT training, coaching, and support to staff.
  • Collaborate with leadership to expand and sustain DBT programming across service lines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and promote continuity across services.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation for assigned staff, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Support the integration of evidence-based practices within treatment planning and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with CCBHC requirements, state regulations, and internal quality standards.
  • Contribute to program evaluation, outcome tracking, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices, DBT research, and behavioral health trends.
