Clinical Specialist - Physical Therapy – Days - Cornell Campus (Monday - Friday) Step into the compassionate world of New York-Presbyterian, where patients receive physical therapy of the highest caliber. The Rehabilitation Medicine Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is one of the largest in the nation. With more than 50 years of experience, we have assembled a team of professionals that is unparalleled in experience and expertise throughout various clinical areas, helping to lead the way in advancing our specialty. In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a physical therapist, the Clinical Specialist serves as a clinical resource to staff, provides input to clinical programming, and participates in departmental and hospital education programs and service excellence initiatives. Must have well-rounded experience working in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. The ideal candidate must have experience working with a variety of diagnoses including patients with stroke, post-surgical protocols, trauma, oncology and complications related to an ICU stay. This is a full- time position with shifts on Monday-Friday, 8:30A - 4:30P, with intermittent weekend and holiday coverage.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
  • New York State Physical Therapy License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience working with a variety of neurological diagnoses
  • Experience working on acute care services, cardiopulmonary and inpatient rehabilitation.
