The Julian F. Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center (JFKADATC) in Black Mountain is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary care team. Management will consider a Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) if no fully qualified candidates are available. JFK is a 68-bed inpatient treatment facility designed to meet the needs of adults with substance use disorders from the 44 westernmost counties in North Carolina. The facility treats individuals with substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses. JFK is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a Behavioral Health facility and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as an inpatient psychiatric hospital. This full-time position follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and offers the stability of a 40-hour work week with no on-call responsibilities. Caseloads are shared across a highly collaborative nine-member team, promoting balance and support.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work.
  • Licensure is required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board.
  • One must fulfill all requirements for Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.

Nice To Haves

  • Documented experience building and developing rapport with persons and families, evaluating a patient's risk of dangerousness, and applying appropriate interventions based on a thorough assessment and treatment plan.
  • Facilitation/Collaboration in the development and implementation of patient centered treatment/care plans within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Documented experience working with other disciplines and/or agencies.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with community agencies and work independently, be self-motivated and organized.
  • Must be able to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively.
