About The Position

Provides psychosocial assessment, care planning, and intervention for a designated caseload of patients and families. Coordinates referrals and continuity of care, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Supports departmental goals and provides coverage during absences, vacancies, and on-call periods.

Requirements

• MSW from an accredited school of social work.
• Understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural factors in clinical practice.
• Familiarity with social work systems, procedures, and community resources.
• Awareness of the current health care environment and ability to synthesize data for patient care decisions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in clinical social work within mental health or health care settings.
• Analytical ability to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and recommend improvements in care.
• Licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW level. Exceptions allowed per Board regulations for out-of-state applicants with pending licensure.
• Minimum of one year of clinical social work experience, preferably in a mental health or health care setting (internship may apply).
