The Regional Clinical Nurse collaborates with the VP of Clinical/Quality Services, Regional Director Operations, and VP of Operations to identify, prioritize and implement clinical intervention strategies within the assigned caseload of centers. The RCN fosters an environment of growth to develop the leadership skills of the Director of Nursing Services and clinical team. The RCN Promotes care delivery systems to define needs and facilitate solution strategies utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of nursing practices while embracing compliance with company, state and federal regulations. The RCN develops and expands clinical capabilities and continual performance improvement within the nursing department and related interdisciplinary team coordinated efforts such as marketing and census development. The RCN will be responsible for regularly visiting several CareOne facilities in central New Jersey 1. Creates an environment of excellence through quality care and quality caring. 2. Champions nursing process and critical thinking skills in improving care delivery systems. 3. Drives patient centered care through the resident assessment instrument (RAI) process 4. Serves as Nursing Leadership preceptor for the Directors of Nursing Services and center clinical leadership teams. 5. Facilitates organizational structure through the use of consistent and standardized unit systems, clinical guidelines, approved products and forms. 6. Improves clinical inventory capabilities, admission process systems, timely response to change in condition and reduction of unexpected re-hospitalization 7. Tracks survey timelines, conducts comprehensive reviews, assists in organizing accurate survey information 8. Reads and interprets cover letters and enforcement remedies; assists in investigating survey findings 9. Promotes adherence to safe medication management guidelines and collaborates with pharmacy providers to ensure sound systems 10. Supports automated clinical systems and functions as a regional resource 11. Communicates clinical, regulatory performance/status and goals related to job to VP of Clinical/Quality Services. 12. Complete other duties and assignments as requested by the VP of Clinical/Quality Services. Essential Functions: 1. Facilitates the development of assigned centers’ plans of correction and is present on-site to facilitate those plans, conducts on-site education and skills review, organizing of Compliance book and preparation for informal dispute resolution. 2. Initiates and conducts on-site rapid response to risk situations to minimize risk and culpability; sustains compliance and reduces regulatory citations and enforcement remedies for each assigned Center. 3. Monitors and assesses quality measures at each assigned Center and identifies priority residents, systems and related care links
