About The Position

Provides clinical office support including answering telephone calls, entering demographic and insurance/referral information, and scheduling appointments. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (must be obtained within one month of hire date).
  • Basic Life Support - American Red Cross (must be obtained within one month of hire date).
  • Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.
  • A driver's license is not required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Answers telephone calls and handles patient questions or routes to appropriate personnel.
  • Schedules, reschedules, cancels and confirms patient appointments.
  • Registers new patients in the system and obtains demographic and insurance information.
  • Assists with obtaining referrals/pre-certifications as needed.
  • Provides packets of information to patients associated with services which may accompany the appointment.
  • Assists other clinical support staff during peak time, vacation/illnesses.
