About The Position

As a Clinical Services Manager for Pediatric Partial Hospitalization Programs at Pine Rest, you’ll be responsible for providing leadership and clinical supervision to members of the multidisciplinary pediatric treatment team within the Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health. This role is responsible for the administration, coordination, and oversight of pediatric partial hospitalization psychiatric services serving children and adolescents. Operating within the organization’s management philosophy, the Clinical Services Manager ensures that pediatric patients receive high-quality, developmentally appropriate, and family-centered psychiatric care. The role collaborates closely with pediatric psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, educators, families, and community partners to support effective treatment delivery, continuity of care, and successful transitions between levels of service. This position requires expertise in pediatric behavioral health, partial hospitalization programming, and systems of care that support children, adolescents, and their families. The Clinical Services Manager must demonstrate excellent customer service and have enthusiasm about the program and the Pine Rest organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology with current licensure at most advanced level for that discipline.
  • Approximately five years of progressively more responsible related work experience in the area assigned in order to gain full knowledge of related systems and management programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Pediatric Partial Hospitalization Program to achieve quality improvement, productivity, and patient and family satisfaction goals.
  • Provides direct leadership, clinical supervision, and professional development to multidisciplinary pediatric PHP staff.
  • Responsible for hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions, including termination, in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Ensures pediatric partial hospitalization services align with best practices in child and adolescent psychiatric care and developmental standards.
  • Develops and monitors program budgets, practicing fiscal stewardship and addressing variances as needed.
  • Monitors staffing levels for pediatric PHP services five days per week, ensuring appropriate coverage and continuity of care.
  • Initiates staffing plans to meet fluctuating census and acuity in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensures accurate and timely completion of payroll, documentation, and program requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of pediatric partial hospitalization standards, regulatory guidelines, and accreditation requirements.
  • Ensures appropriate and accurate billing of pediatric partial hospitalization psychiatric services.
  • Leads initiatives focused on family engagement, communication, and customer service within pediatric programs.
  • Holds staff accountable for the execution of clinical, operational, and fiscal plans.
  • Participates in organizational and pediatric-focused committees, contributing to program development and system-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrates strong, positive leadership during periods of high acuity, change, or uncertainty within pediatric services.
  • Clearly communicates expectations, outcomes, program updates, and policy changes to staff.
  • Solicits and incorporates staff feedback to promote a positive work environment and high-quality pediatric care.
  • Develops and implements strategic and operational plans specific to pediatric partial hospitalization services.
  • Functions as a change leader by evaluating and improving pediatric PHP workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Establishes annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals to support program effectiveness and growth.
  • Plans and leads performance improvement initiatives, documenting goals, outcomes, and corrective actions.
  • Develops and monitors procedures to support improved clinical and operational performance.
  • Uses outcome measures and data to guide quality improvement and improve pediatric patient outcomes.
  • Supports research initiatives related to pediatric psychiatric care, as applicable.
  • Participates in marketing and outreach efforts for pediatric partial hospitalization services.
  • Ensures staff training, pediatric competencies, and required certifications remain current and compliant.
  • Monitors discipline-specific competencies to ensure safe, effective pediatric psychiatric treatment.
  • Supervises Multidisciplinary Pediatric Treatment Teams
