About The Position

Concordia Visiting Nurses is seeking a Clinical Scheduler for a full-time position with excellent benefits to be based out of our Bridgeville, PA office location. This is a fast paced position requiring multitasking and attention to detail. The Clinical Scheduler will be required to work ONE WEEKEND PER MONTH after 12 weeks training The Clinical Scheduler is responsible for working with the clinical field staff to schedule home care visits. The Clinical Scheduler assists in the daily operations of the agency’s on-going scheduling functions. The Clinical Scheduler creates new daily/weekly schedules for staff, verifies schedules provided by clinicians with computer-generated schedules and makes changes accordingly. Requirements

  • Computer skills: Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize daily workload
  • High School education required

Responsibilities

  • Creates new daily/weekly schedules for staff.
  • Creates yearly model calendars for staff in the computer.
  • Verifies schedules provided by clinicians with computer-generated schedules and makes changes accordingly.
  • Verifies and changes recent visits to ensure staff does not overlook patient recertification.
  • Ensures frequencies written by clinician’s match visit patterns; contacts clinicians when corrections need to occur.
  • Reassigns patients to covering clinicians during periods of vacations and other absences.
  • Processes orders and assigns them to the correct clinician.
  • Edits visits when computer glitches occur.
  • Schedules Telehealth installations and removals.
  • Handles general inquiries from staff and patients, whether received by telephone, e-mail, or in person.
  • Identifies problems/concerns with patients and staff and reports them appropriately.
  • Communicates all changes in the daily schedule to the appropriate supervisor and/or staff member.
