About The Position

The Clinical Scheduler will be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls for the purpose of scheduling appointments, triaging patients symptoms/issues and routing calls and cases to providers appropriately and in a timely fashion. Hours : 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Days : Monday-Friday No weekends or holidays. Potential to work from home after 6 months.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical insurance and insurance companies.
  • Skill at communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Skill in attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to be patient in tense situations
  • Ability to be a good representative of Think.
  • School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with medical scheduling, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with electronic health records, preferably with Allscripts.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and place outbound calls to complete appointment scheduling for patients, following physician-specific criteria, based on appointment type and patient needs.
  • Triage patient symptoms, questions, and concerns to schedule an appointment or escalate to a triage nurse, if necessary.
  • Complete patient registration in Allscripts.
  • Triage and route patient messages to appropriate staff members clinic wide.
