About The Position

Position Summary The Clinical Sales Consultant – Vascular Access is responsible for supporting and expanding the clinical application of ICU Medical products and solutions across all hospital departments and healthcare settings to grow the business. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Collaborate with the internal customer team (National Clinical Manager, Sales Leadership, Account Executives, and Clinical Project Mangers (CPM)) to provide support for presales meetings, clinical product demonstrations, pre-implementation assessments, product evaluations for clinical acceptance, and execution of solution-based programs for the entire Vascular Access product portfolio. Transition the account in professional and customer centric manner for product implementation activities led by the Vascular Access Sales and Clinical Leadership Support assessments, evaluations, and conversions/implementations as requested and schedule permits. Develop and maintain relationships with key account stakeholders across all departments throughout the full continuum of care. Provide ongoing customer support for product selection, application, and troubleshooting across ICU Medical Vascular Access product portfolio. Provide comprehensive product training for all phases of the sales cycle including ongoing product education. Ongoing assessment of the application of a broad product portfolio across all departments, identifying opportunities to optimize and expand product use and application. Maintain broad clinical knowledge of ICU Medical Vascular Access portfolio of products and solutions. Ensure compliance with all required processes, documents, and workflows for implementation, execution, and documentation uploading into required applications/systems. Provide mentoring, training, and support to new sales and clinical team members. Presence/participation at trade shows, professional, regional, and national organizations, and events as assigned by manager. Collect customer feedback formally and informally, sharing it with the leadership team and Marketing, filing complaints as appropriate per organizational policy. Work is guided by standards of practice, training materials, product literature, medical literature and department and company procedures. Employ negotiation skills when determining best instructional methods for training customers on products. Utilize ICU Medical approved education materials, manuals, and Instructions for Use. Self-directed with guidance from management and department resources and procedures. Accuracy is required in all communication. Duties may be inclusive of US and Canadian Customers. Work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Current professional RN licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Requires excellent critical thinking, problem resolution abilities and strong technical skills, with team selling preference.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Position requires active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, to perform the essential function of your role at customer locations.
  • This job is a field-based role.
  • As part of the scope of employment, the employee must hold a valid driver’s license as well as comply and meet the requirements set forth in the Authorized Driver Policy to drive on behalf of the company.
  • Typically requires travel up to 80% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Critical care experience preferred.
  • Vascular Access experience is highly desirable.
