This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a Weekend Only Worker Program, working 3-12 hour shifts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The role is eligible for full-time benefits and includes an $18/hour weekend differential for all weekend shifts. The Clinical RN II is primarily responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care for patients or assigned groups of patients within a specific unit, and for the day-to-day management and supervision of related clinical activities. This position involves coordinating the plan of care with the client, their family, and the interdisciplinary team. The RN II will also supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, exercising professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Adherence to the California Nurse Practice Act, The American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, the ANA Bill of Rights for Registered Nurses, and the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Nursing is required. Responsibilities also include the observation and direction of patient lifts and mobilization, and participation in patient handling as needed. The successful candidate must be able to speak and read English proficiently to perform essential functions and possess knowledge of standard office equipment and computer software skills, including Windows, MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, and e-mail, with proficient keyboarding and mouse skills required upon employment or within the first two weeks. The role also involves performing other assigned duties, following Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards, and carrying out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
