About The Position

The Clinical Research Project Manager A in the Department of Radiation Oncology manages investigator-initiated and sponsored clinical trials involving radiation therapy. This role ensures strict adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements, and radiation safety standards. Key responsibilities include onboarding, prioritizing, and overseeing the study team, managing detailed project operations, and collaborating closely with the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) team. The position is contingent on continued funding and is hybrid eligible after successful completion of an introductory period and 6 months of service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise clinical research studies while providing operational support for research activities within the Clinical Research Unit (CRU), including management of detailed project operations and ensuring strict adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements, and radiation safety standards.
  • Execute study protocols; prioritize study team efforts; oversee timely and accurate data collection, research billing, and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs); actively manage ongoing projects; troubleshoot operational issues; and report study progress.
  • Provide cross-functional support to Clinical Research Coordinators within the department, assisting with all aspects of their responsibilities during absences or periods of increased workload, while overseeing human subject protection policies and procedures and participating in new study startup activities.
  • Oversee onboarding and ongoing training for Clinical Research Coordinators, Research Assistants, and summer interns within the CRU, and contribute to staff performance planning and evaluation processes.
  • Provide administrative support, including event and meeting coordination, conference logistics and follow-up, expense tracking, reimbursements, and invoicing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
