About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is recruiting for Emergency Medicine Fellow(s) in Clinical Research at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx (NCB) for July 2026 to June 2027 academic year . Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. Opportunity Details: Emergency Medicine research is growing quickly and fellowship training is a successful pathway to improve and increase high quality research, quality of patient care, and the future of our specialty. The Clinical Research Fellowship aims to provide structured, advanced training and mentorship in scientific inquiry, allowing fellows to develop the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to become independent researchers and contributors to their field. The Research Fellowship was established in 2025 by Dr. Ariella Gartenberg, the current Fellowship Director Duty hours will be divided into clinical and academic hours. Clinical time will function as an Emergency Medicine Attending and will work across two diverse campuses: Jacobi Medical Center and NCB. Join a top-tier Emergency Medicine Faculty at Jacobi Medical Center, affiliated with AECOM. Practice at a high-acuity, high-volume ACS Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Burn Center, and STEMI/PCI center. NCB ED boasts the highest patient satisfaction scores in NYC Health + Hospitals. Faculty appointments and teaching responsibilities at the AECOM. Affiliated with the AECOM, Jacobi EM is a main teaching site for one of the premiere Emergency Medicine residency training programs in the country, with 84 total EM residents over 4 years. Jacobi EM is responsible for running Jacobi’s regional snake-bite center and a multi-person hyperbaric treatment facility that treat elective and emergency cases. The Department has active programs in ultrasound, simulation, hyperbarics, toxicology/addiction care, public health and advocacy, global health, education, and research. Successful candidates will be highly committed to excellence in patient care, education, and promoting scholarship to enhance the mission of the Department.

Requirements

  • Completion of an ACGME approved Emergency Medicine Residency with a letter from the PD documenting training.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
  • NYS Medical License
  • Curriculum Vitae and Personal Statement
  • Two Letters of Reference (one showing interest in research or QI)

  • Annual Base Salary: $151,923
