Join our dedicated team at Riley Hospital for Children as a Clinical Quality Improvement (QI) Consultant. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with inpatient teams to identify, analyze, and address quality and safety issues, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of patient care. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, or clinical improvement.
  • Knowledge of data entry systems and software such as NCQA IDSS/ISS tools, electronic health records, HEDIS software, or other supplemental databases is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and training skills.
  • Ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in clinical healthcare or business preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate ongoing quality improvement activities for designated patient populations.
  • Lead specific work groups and projects independently, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses to identify gaps in clinical care and barriers to optimal patient outcomes.
  • Design and implement targeted interventions to improve clinical processes, patient safety, and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate the organization’s performance improvement process in collaboration with project team leaders and stakeholders.
  • Provide training and education to staff and physicians on performance improvement methodologies, data analysis, process optimization, and work simplification techniques.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, utilizing data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to healthcare quality and patient safety.
