About The Position

Lead the Ambulatory Surgery Center’s quality program, staff education, and clinical onboarding process as the part-time ASC Clinical Quality & Education Nurse. Location: Salmon Creek 2 (2529 NE 139th Street – Vancouver, WA 98686) In this role: ensure safe, high-quality surgical care by overseeing regulatory readiness, tracking and trending quality indicators, standardizing perioperative practices, and supporting surgeon and staff onboarding Must maintain active perioperative clinical expertise and may function as an OR Circulator or RNFA as needed.

Requirements

  • Masters‑prepared Registered Nurse required (MSN, MHA, or similar).
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • MSN or equivalent experience required.
  • Active, unencumbered Washington or Multi-State RN license required
  • Minimum 3 years perioperative nursing experience required; ASC experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, clinical education, or regulatory readiness.
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and data‑analysis skills.
  • Ability to maintain clinical competencies required for perioperative nursing roles.

Nice To Haves

  • RN First Assist certification preferred.
  • Previous patient safety / quality improvement experience and/or medical record abstraction, evaluation, and analysis of data from a clinical perspective helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with CMS, AAAHC, and state regulatory standards
  • Conduct chart audits and translate findings into targeted education
  • Partner with Infection Prevention and leadership to ensure regulatory readiness
  • Promote best practices across clinical teams
  • Develop competency checklists, skills assessments, and evidence-based guidelines
  • Coordinate annual education, mandatory training, and continuing competency programs
