About The Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare professional to join the Clinical Quality Assurance Team. The team is dedicated to assuring the quality of care of commissioned services across Birmingham and Solihull. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is enthusiastic, well organised and motivated with a good knowledge of care delivery for patients with Learning Disabilities and Autism and who has experience in managing improving the quality of care for patients. As an All Age Continuing Healthcare Clinical Quality Assurance Manager you will undertake a range of key duties to quality and safety for patients under the Continuing Healthcare National Framework You will be responsible for leading on a number of CHC Quality Assurance Assessments and risk management for Learning Disability and Autismn care providers. Your role includes being responsible for line managing a small number of Band 6 (Clinical Quality Monitoring Officers). The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues across the pathway to assure the quality of care delivered in nursing care homes and supporting progress through the NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB, Integrated Quality Assurance Framework. You will have key relationships with NHS care providers, patients, families, Local Authority partners, Community Clinical Teams and other stake holders. You will need skills in effective time management, autonomous working, managing expectations and advanced communication, including having difficult conversations Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System brings together local NHS, councils and voluntary, community and faith sectors to better serve our communities. Responsibilities

  • undertake a range of key duties to quality and safety for patients under the Continuing Healthcare National Framework
  • responsible for leading on a number of CHC Quality Assurance Assessments and risk management for Learning Disability and Autismn care providers
  • responsible for line managing a small number of Band 6 (Clinical Quality Monitoring Officers)
  • work closely with colleagues across the pathway to assure the quality of care delivered in nursing care homes and supporting progress through the NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB, Integrated Quality Assurance Framework
  • support the ICB to assure and improve the quality of health services across Birmingham and Solihull.
  • work closely with other members of the Quality team, Continuing Healthcare colleagues and Contracting team to assure the ICB of the clinical quality of services within the areas of commissioned health services.
  • contribute to the delivery of the ICB quality strategy through commissioning for quality assurance programmes and provide clinical quality support.
  • liaise with providers, other ICBs and functions regarding assurance, compliance and improvements of services utilised by the ICB population.
  • work closely with clinical leads and managers within and beyond the Continuing Healthcare team, in order to support the ICB to deliver its statutory duties in relation to quality assurance and improvement.
