About The Position

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults within a community mental health setting. This position requires expertise in evidence-based psychological assessments and contributes to interdisciplinary care teams to inform diagnostic clarity, treatment planning, and service eligibility determinations.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Psychology, and completion of clinical internship
  • Certification/Licensure State of KY as Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Practitioner, Licensed Psychological Associate, or eligibility for KY licensure, as documented by out-of-state licensure.
  • Experience with psychological assessment tools such as the WAIS-IV/V, WISC-V, MMPI-2/3, BASC-3, Vineland-3, ADOS-2, etc.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5-TR and evidence-based diagnostic practices.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of psychological evaluation experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in community mental health, public behavioral health, or integrated care settings.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, neuro-developmental assessments, and culturally responsive evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Psychological Assessment
  • Administer, score, interpret, and document psychological tests including cognitive, personality, achievement, adaptive functioning, behavioral, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Conduct intake interviews and behavioral observations to gather relevant clinical data.
  • Prepare integrated psychological evaluation reports that align with clinical and diagnostic standards (e.g., DSM-5- TR).
  • Provide clinical impressions and diagnostic formulations to assist in treatment planning and eligibility determinations for services (e.g., therapy, case management, school services, disability evaluations).
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Participate in case consultations with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and support staff.
  • Present findings to treatment teams and attend staff meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate testing referrals and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, professional, and timely manner.
  • Clinical and Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency policies and funding/regulatory requirements.
  • Follow ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Psychological Association (APA) and licensing boards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and peer review processes as applicable.
