About The Position

This position is located at the Naval Medical Center, Camp Lejeune, NC. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Psychologist-Mental Health Consultant to join our Health Psychology Services Team as a full-time, integrated team member. You will be at the forefront of patient care, using the innovative Primary Care Mental Health (PCMH) model to make a direct impact every day. Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune faithfully serves Marines, Sailors, and veteran families through health care excellence, readiness, and professional development. Situated aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NMCCL also provides trauma care to the surrounding civilian community. Requirements

• US Citizenship required
• Must have practiced as a licensed independent practioner within the past two years
• Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
• A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
• Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, evidence-based assessments and interventions in brief 30-minute appointments for a wide range of behavioral, chronic medical, and health conditions.
• Act as a core member of the Primary Care team. Participate in daily huddles, facilitate "warm handoffs" from providers, and offer expert consultation on patient care.
• Develop, teach, and oversee health education classes for patients. Provide training to primary care staff to enhance the integration of behavioral health services.
• Utilize a stepped-care approach to maximize patient access. Monitor treatment effectiveness with measurable outcomes and ensure timely, concise documentation.
