Requirements

  • Masters Degree required
  • LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LPC (S) - Required

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and maintains responsibility for assigned programs, from a clinical, financial and safety standpoint.
  • Assists DCS in planning and leading business development activities for programs.
  • Is responsible for staff assignments and clinical coverage.
  • Ensures needs of physicians, referral sources and other community resources are met.
  • Develops and monitors Performance Improvement activities.
  • Provides or arranges for the provision of necessary clinical education for staff members.
  • Maintains good working relationships with other hospital departments.
  • Ensures that Policies and Procedures developed by hospital administration are implemented in an accurate and expedient manner.
  • Monitors closely the use of special treatment procedures or any other restriction of rights to ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Participates in processing of grievances generated by patients, their guardians, and staff or outside agencies.
  • Effectively represents the hospital within the community, with professional organizations, consumers and stakeholders.
  • Ensures that quality and appropriateness of programs are reviewed and corrected as needed on a regular basis.
  • Ensures group therapy is conducted 7 days a week at the standard schedule.
