About the Opportunity: The Department of Applied Psychology in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Clinical Professor (Open Rank) with a 52-week appointment to teach, supervise, and provide service in the Master of Science in Counseling Psychology (MSCP) program, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) training program.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field
- License eligible as a psychologist and health service provider in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Three years post-licensure experience providing clinical supervision to master’s and doctoral level students
- Experience teaching at the graduate level in applied psychology
- Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Record of effective teaching, supervision, and professional activity; including both didactic and clinical courses (face to face, hybrid, online)
- Direct experience in mental health counseling and supervision of mental health counseling utilizing evidence-based mental health interventions
- Demonstrated commitment to creating culturally responsive and supportive environments for students from diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities
- Teaching graduate courses in counseling psychology, including courses involving clinical supervision and clinical skills, and in the candidate’s areas of expertise.
- Providing service and leadership to the Department, College, University, community and profession.
- All faculty are encouraged to engage in scholarship and professional development.
- Possibility of teaching undergraduate courses on occasion.
