The Taneja College of Pharmacy is seeking an individual who has either received a doctoral degree (or equivalent) and has come to the University to gain additional clinical training after completing his/her residency or are individuals of greater experience who wish to change clinical specialties. The PGY2 Pharmacy Resident will advance their clinical expertise by providing patient-centered care in a specialized area of pharmacy practice. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive medication reviews, developing individualized treatment plans, and participating in interdisciplinary team based care. The resident will manage and monitor therapeutic regimens, provide drug information, and ensure the safe and effective use of medications. The resident will also engage in academic activities, such as precepting pharmacy students, delivering lectures, and contributing to staff education programs. Opportunities to develop teaching skills through formal teaching certificates or similar programs are available. Research responsibilities include designing, implementing, and analyzing a research project, culminating in the presentation of findings at professional conferences and preparing a manuscript for publication. The resident will also participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize clinical and operational practices. This position requires a strong commitment to professional growth, collaboration, and advancing pharmacy practice.
