Your day to day as a Clinical Pharmacy Manager As the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy at VillageCare, reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Pharmacy, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing clinical pharmacy programs. This operation-centric position demands a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the pharmacy department. You will review medical data to facilitate prior authorization for specialty medications, ensuring medication adherence. In collaboration with the clinical pharmacy team, you will coordinate clinical services, oversee pharmacy compliance requirements, and support various teams, including Prior Authorization, Case Management, and Quality. Your leadership will extend to managing clinical pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and care coordinators, while planning and implementing drug utilization management and quality improvement plans. This role also involves assisting with Transitions of Care Medication Reconciliation Post-Discharge and supporting quality initiatives in partnership with various teams. Additionally, you will lead pharmacy data analytics to drive initiatives and ensure adherence to DOH and CMS regulatory requirements. Are you the Clinical Pharmacy Manager we're looking for? To thrive as the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy at VillageCare, candidates must possess a robust blend of experience and skills. A minimum of three years of progressive healthcare and pharmacy experience, including proficiency within the pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) oversight processes, is required. An active, unrestricted state license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in New York is essential. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration while impeccable problem-solving and facilitation skills are necessary to navigate complex clinical scenarios. Analytical skills are also vital for data-driven decision-making. Educationally, a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is required, along with prior management or leadership experience. Familiarity with prior authorization processes will further enhance the candidate's success in this role. Current certification as a pharmacist is mandatory to ensure compliance and excellence in practice. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: 3-year progressive health care and pharmacy experience including increasing accountability within the pharmacy and PBM oversight process. Must possess an active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in the State of New York. Strong oral written and interpersonal communication skills problem-solving skills facilitation skills and analytical skills are a must.
