Our 88-bed, acute-care hospital provides exceptional medical care to patients from Allen, Lucas, Fairview, McKinney, Melissa, Wylie, and nearby communities. We specialize in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, advanced cardiology, electrophysiology, orthopedic and spine treatments, as well as comprehensive women's and infant care. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center and STEMI-receiving facility, over 500 physicians practice across more than 25 specialties at our hospital. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy is required Or
  • Other Pharm.D. is required And
  • Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required
  • 2 Years of Hospital clinical inpatient Pharmacist experience or 1 year of residency is strongly preferred
  • 3 Years hospital experience or residency is preferred
  • IV compounding certification is strongly preferred
  • PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire is required
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
