About The Position

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system, providing expert pediatric care for infants, children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. Ranked in multiple specialties by U.S. News & World Report, we provide access to innovative treatments and therapies. Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital has 259 beds in our teaching hospital, with more than half devoted to intensive care level services, and we are the regional pediatric referral center for Florida's west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures. Through collaborations, we manage neonatology and other pediatric services at several community hospitals along Florida's west coast. Job Summary: The goal of the Clinical Pharmacist is to promote the safe and effective use of medications by working collaboratively with prescribers and the multidisciplinary health care team. This position contributes to the goals of the department by providing safe medication therapy to our patients and identifying, resolving, and preventing drug-related problems in the pediatric setting. Along with other members of the health care team, this role is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high standards of care provided by JHACH.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D. or BSPharm
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency OR 2 years hospital experience
  • Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Florida required. Must be obtained prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • PALS certification preferred. Must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
