About The Position

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), founded in 1987, is the largest specialized provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the nation. Its mission is to provide cutting-edge medicine and advocacy, regardless of ability to pay, offering access to the latest HIV treatments through healthcare centers, pharmacies, health plans, research, and other activities. The Clinical Pharmacist – SRT (Special Response Team) contributes to AHF by being assigned to multiple locations based on scheduling and geographical needs. This role expands the primary functions of a pharmacist by providing individualized health promotion and disease prevention, including vaccine and long-acting HIV medicine administration, Diabetes monitoring, Nicotine reduction programs, and other subject matters, in collaboration with other AHF Providers. The Clinical Pharmacist – SRT aims to improve patient outcomes, enhance current AHF services, expand professional growth opportunities, and assist in the ongoing development of the AHF Healthcare System. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for AHF's initiatives, ensuring that AHF Core Values and Mission are upheld. The role requires adaptability in a dynamic environment and working as part of a close-knit team to deliver health promotion and disease prevention programs, including immunizations, Diabetes, and Smoking Cessation, with appropriate collaborative drug therapy management authority, including prescriptive authority for therapies like PrEP and PEP where legally and organizationally authorized.

Requirements

  • State Pharmacist License
  • Willing to obtain multiple state licenses post hire

Responsibilities

  • Be assigned to more than one location, based on scheduling/geographical needs
  • Expand primary functions of pharmacist such as providing individualized health promotion & disease prevention
