Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification, required. PharmD, preferred.
- Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy. Oncology experience preferred for oncology roles, required.
- ASHP accredited PGY2 Infectious disease residency OR 2 years of equivalent clinical pharmacy experience in infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.

Responsibilities
- Flexibility in working in acute care capacities with adults and pediatrics ( central distribution, IV room, med/surg, and critical care)
- Facilitates pharmaceutical care services, medication utilization systems within assigned services and care areas to ensure drug utilization activities are aligned with patient care needs, evidence- based best practices and regulatory standards
- Completes critical patient monitoring and reviews patient profile/ chart to identify, prevent, or mitigate drug- related problems
- Partners as an active member of multidisciplinary team and collaborates with healthcare providers within decentralized patient care areas to provide patient- centered care
- Makes appropriate evidence-based, patient- centered medication recommendations
- Participates in the management of medical emergencies for adult and pediatric patients
- Provides discharge medication review, reconciliation, and counseling as appropriate
- Maintains proficiency in and actively engages in central dispensing functions and operational programs
- Oversees pharmacy operations and technician practice/activities
- Maintains proficiency in preceptor roles and actively emulates education/ mentorship skills
