Clinical Pharmacist Specialist– Pharmacy Department Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas 8200 Walnut Hill Ln. TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours a week. Monday through Friday daytime hours, usually 7:00am/7:30am to 3:30pm/4:00pm. Pharmacy Department highlights: Works collaboratively on a multidisciplinary Neuro/Trauma Critical Care team in a Level I Trauma Center Attends and participates in medical emergency response teams, including cardiac arrest, stroke, and Level I traumas Leads clinical training and education to pharmacy on select initiatives and skills Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas has advanced health care in North Texas for over half a century as one of the region’s most established hospitals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy is required Or
  • Other Pharm.D Degree from U.S. - accredited College of Pharmacy is required
  • 1 Year residency experience [PGY1] upon hire is required and
  • 3 Years focused hospital pharmacist experience is required or
  • 2 Years residency experience including one in a specialized area [PGY2] upon hire is required or
  • 5 Years focused hospital pharmacist experience is required and
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, training and development and contributions to the profession is required
  • PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire is required And
  • Other Board Certified if hired after July 17, 2022 12 Months is required
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively present information to hospital leaders, physicians, peers, support staff, and other healthcare professionals in all settings (directly with individuals, small groups, and large groups)
  • Must be able to evaluate clinical trials, advise on the pharmaceutical care of patients and serve as a clinical resource for the pharmacy department
  • Must be computer proficient and have excellent writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Developing a strategic plan for the relevant clinical areas of responsibility and vetting with senior leadership
  • Developing and meeting team KPIs in support of department, hospital and Texas Health KPIs using SMART goals
  • Contributing to individual pharmacist performance evaluations and develop plans for ongoing professional development
  • Responding to medical emergencies per hospital policy, as available
  • Clinical Improvement/Quality Improvement/Patient Safety projects utilizing lean six sigma techniques
  • Publishing (posters at regional professional meetings to publishing in national peer-reviewed journals)
