Works as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner for Cape Fear Valley Health System. Major Job Functions The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Develop training programs to support system changes Provides medication therapy management, symptom management, and chemotherapy / medication educations as allowed per the protocol between the CPP and the physicians of the CFV clinic. Serves as pharmacy resource to providers in a CFV clinic to include but not limited to: primary literature search, drug information inquiries, staff continuing education presentations. Maintains effective professional relationships with CFVHS staff. Participates in organizational improvement activities. Completes all required documentation. Serve as member of Residency Advisory Committee. Develops working relationships with outpatient physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and clinic directors in the Cape Fear Valley system. Administers vaccinations and demonstrates appropriate medication administration techniques. Precepts, evaluates, and mentors PGY1 pharmacy residents. Precepts PharmD students. Holds self and staff accountable for providing exemplary patient service. Develops and implements quality improvement measures to improve patient care and staff efficiency. Other duties as assigned.
