Children's Mercy is a top pediatric hospital, recognized for eleven consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report, located in the heart of Kansas City. The Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to all patients, ensuring consistency with hospital and pharmacy department goals. This involves reviewing drug orders for appropriateness (drug, dose, frequency), identifying and resolving drug-related problems such as allergic reactions and interactions, and overseeing supportive personnel. Pharmacists are expected to apply their knowledge and experience to assess and improve patient care, identify medication-related patient safety risks, and resolve or escalate problems promptly. The role may allow for remote work based on departmental needs and manager discretion.
