About The Position

In this role, you will oversee and drive the day-to-day operations of clinical programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational excellence. You will manage teams of clinical staff, coordinate workflows, and implement processes that enhance efficiency and compliance. This position requires a proactive leader who can balance operational management with strategic planning, while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. You will serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing to process improvements, reporting metrics, and program development. The role offers the opportunity to impact healthcare outcomes at a systemic level while working remotely within Alaska Time Zone hours. It is ideal for a skilled RN leader who combines clinical expertise with operational management experience.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or ability to obtain within three months of start date
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management within healthcare or related services, preferably Medicaid or public sector projects
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations, utilization management, and service authorization
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, employee development, and performance management
  • Ability to analyze operations, develop policies, and implement effective strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in remote team management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage clinical operations teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery and operational compliance
  • Coordinate clinical programs, including utilization management, clinical review, and special initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Monitor operational and financial metrics, reporting progress and resolving issues efficiently
  • Serve as acting Program Director when needed, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making
  • Facilitate communication between clinical staff, leadership, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and internal corporate policies
