Day - 08 Hour (United States of America) This is a Stanford Medicine Partners job. A Brief Overview The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for developing and managing project plans for multiple initiatives, tracking their progress, anticipating future needs, and modifying or aligning activities as necessary. This position will support clinical initiatives at Stanford Medicine Partners (SMP). This role provides leadership for projects focused on clinical best practices, standardization, and initiative operationalization across SMP. These responsibilities are carried out through collaboration with physicians, directors, managers, supervisors, and senior leadership within SMP and across the enterprise as appropriate. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in clinical operations or ambulatory/clinic management within a healthcare setting (multi-site medical group, or outpatient network).
  • CA-RN (Registered Nurse)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, or partner with local facility clinic site leaders, medical directors, clinical education leaders, and the quality team to advance clinical operations best practices.
  • Implement and evaluate policies and procedures that guide and support clinical operations best practices.
  • Support surfacing of best practices and opportunities for improvement through the appropriate SMP channels.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and improvements of clinical operations and performance.
  • Partner with Clinical Education and Operations to streamline and standardize clinical practices and education across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other entities to ensure alignment as appropriate.
  • Ensure clinical organizational policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to within clinic settings, as well as maintain feedback mechanisms for evaluation of efficacy and identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with operations, quality, and clinical education to create a cohesive environment rooted in high reliability and a Culture of Safety.
  • Evaluate the quality of services within the goals of each location; collaborate with Operations and Education team to create action plans and achieve goals within designated timeframes.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Associate Chief Medical Officer, providing operational and clinical leadership support to the Clinical Operations Committee and ensuring clinical initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities, regulatory expectations, and evidence-based best practices.
  • Lead the end-to-end assessment of clinical topics brought forward to the Clinical Operations Committee, including synthesizing data, evaluating operational and clinical impact, and developing clear, well-structured recommendations to support sound governance decisions.
  • Serve as an entry point for all projects related to clinical operations.
  • Develop plans, strategies, tactics, and resources to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage internal and external projects, communications, and relationships with staff, clinicians, and leadership.
  • Support the leadership team in managing strategic business development initiatives; coordinate and facilitate meetings among senior leadership, external contractors, and legal counsel.
  • Track all projects and send updates and reminders as needed.
  • Prepare presentations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and participate in organization projects.
  • Adhere to safety, policies, and procedures, including HR, HIPAA, and compliance policies.
