Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter in New York, NY. The Clinical Nutrition Manager will oversee the clinical program across Long Term Acute and Skilled Nursing units as part of the New York City Health + Hospitals System. What You'll Do work with a team of Registered Dietitians and supervise staff development of clinical professionals and diet office staff; be involved in facilitating wellness initiatives; drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects; oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives, as necessary; provide training and education to the food service staff, as well as interdisciplinary healthcare professionals; be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees; and serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in food service management as needed. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credential and CDN in New York with long term care experience and a great clinical knowledge base
  • proven supervisory or management experience (2+ years)
  • excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework
  • Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.
