About The Position

The Nutrition Counseling Dietitian will be responsible for provision of diagnosis-specific Nutrition education and counseling. This role will provide initial and ongoing education as needed. In addition, this role will provide patient/caregiver education and training where applicable and serve as nutrition subject matter expert. This is a full time position with flexible hours of operation

Requirements

Registered Dietitian with at least two years of experience.
Experience in counseling patients in weight loss, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, PCOS, eating disorders, wound healing, renal and GI issues.
Participation in CAQH; Must maintain credentialing with identified commercial insurance plans and Medicaid/Medicare.
Able to work autonomously and make independent decisions within generally accepted medical practices, regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Completes the Start of Care and follow-up education for home nutrition counseling patients via Video or Telephone.
Demonstrates knowledge of diagnosis-specific nutrition therapy and counseling and operates as a subject matter expert to the sales, intake and clinical team
Performs duties as assigned in a timely, efficient, competent manner, including timely completion of documentation and communication to internal and external customers.
Creates and provides education to the employees to keep them abreast of new information in nutrition therapies. Creates/reviews documents that will be used for customer education. Participates in quality management meetings and quality management initiatives
Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
