About The Position
Francis Marion University and the Nursing Program invites applications for master's (preferred) or baccalaureate prepared, part-time clinical instructors for the Spring 2026 semester (January to May 2026).
Requirements
- Earned MSN.
- Two years (full-time) clinical experience.
- Licensed as an RN in South Carolina.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Teaches in on-campus simulation laboratory, skills laboratory, and/or inpatient clinical setting
- Supervising eight (8) junior or senior baccalaureate-nursing students
- Organize and plan clinical days for students.
- Communicate weekly with course coordinator.
- Provide feedback for care plans/ concept maps.
- Participate in course orientation with course coordinator.
- Read adjunct faculty and student handbooks.
- Orient to the clinical facility if not employed in the facility.
- Submit all needed paperwork, criminal background check, drug screen and vaccination records.
- Assure completion of necessary student records/reports by designated due date and forward to course coordinator.
- Report midterm warnings to the course coordinator for processing.
- Role model professional behavior and appearance.
