Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Clinical Nurse in Outpatient Ambulatory Services. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase compassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make a meaningful impact in our MSK Outpatient Infusion center. Role Overview: Function in a reciprocal Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model. Manage a select caseload of patients receiving chemotherapy on an outpatient basis. Coordinate chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunotherapy; conduct patient assessments, and offer symptom management and patient and family education. Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure efficient care throughout the healthcare continuum. Engage in an individualized training/orientation program geared to providing nursing care in an ambulatory setting. Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of oncology treatment and follow-up.

Requirements

  • New York State RN license and BSN
  • 1.5-2 years of related chemotherapy experience required
  • Willing to act and eager to adopt new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • A creative decision-maker, with shown success at making timely decisions that maintain excellent standards of nursing care within the organization.
  • Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged, using both formal and informal development channels.

  • Skilled at communicating effectively, capable of determining the most suitable approach to reach diverse audiences and delivering communications accordingly.

Nice To Haves

  • Infusion experience and IV skills preferred
  • Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred.
