Job Summary Summary: This position leads and supports direct caregivers by influencing clinical practice and organizational processes for optimal care outcomes. The position leads at Spaulding Outpatient Wellesley Medical and across the post-acute care continuum. Position manages regenerative medicine and musculoskeletal / sports medicine and general patient care for our physiatrists. Responsibilities include overseeing admission and discharge functions and serving as the primary contact for the facility's internal and external customers. The position monitors practice to ensure compliance with licensing and accrediting agency standards and participates in hospital committees and the performance improvement process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing required and Master's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, working with a broad patient population.
  • Team leadership skills.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and develop and implement strategies for addressing them.
  • Proven ability to work independently providing a high level of services delivery, demonstrate initiative with the ability to prioritize work, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong clinical nursing skill set.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

  • Is a consistent presence at the point of care and interacts directly with nurses, Medical assistants, staff, and clinical teams of physicians, fellows and residents.
  • -Role models the use of evidence in daily point-of-care practice.
  • -In collaboration with leaders and educators, disseminates educational topics for continuous learning and changes in practice.
  • -Provides, teaches, coaches, and assists with complex care delivery and in emergencies.
  • -Assess daily risk for infection, pressure ulcers, pneumonia, missed care, or other nurse-sensitive indicators with the care team while taking steps to decrease the risk of their occurrence.
  • -Collaborates with the inter-professional team regarding patient progress updates and transitions/discharge planning.
