Clinical Nurse II Job Location: 3480 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609 Job Summary: We are seeking a CLINICAL NURSE II in our Duke Spine and Pain Management of Raleigh clinic located in Raleigh, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients Job Summary: Collect and analyze patient data, make recommendations for nursing care plans, evaluate nursing care provided, document and communicate appropriately nursing actions taken and patient responses. Plan, provide and document professional nursing care in ambulatory settings, utilizing the nursing process, in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures, under the supervision of the nurse manager, charge nurse or practice manager. Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of patient care and serve as a team leader. Assist with telephone triage support for patients seen by Duke Spine and Pain Management of Raleigh following clinic protocols and in accordance with the scope of the RN defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Assist with patient paperwork processing. (i.e. FMLA, DMV, etc) Support the development of other staff and formal learners. Participate in the identification of clinical, operational and safety related performance improvement opportunities. Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings. Participate in clinic or entity level performance improvement activities. Assist with procedures and IV placements for trial procedures. Set up sterile trays for procedures. Tee up medication orders for procedures scheduled the following week. Obtain cardiac clearance for patients on anticoagulants that are scheduled for procedures. Assist with stocking incoming orders. Stock exam rooms weekly. Monthly expiration date checks for medications stocked in exam rooms. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
