NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Clinical Nurse I for their Bone Marrow Transplant unit (HP11 BMT) for night shifts. Oncology nurses at NewYork-Presbyterian are integral to compassionate care, working in one of only 20 National Cancer Institute-designated centers for pediatric Phase I trials and pioneering advanced treatments like intra-arterial Avastin for brain tumors and low-dose CT scanning for lung cancer. This autonomous role involves functioning as a Chemotherapy field nurse, floating to inpatient units to administer chemotherapy, managing symptoms, supporting patients, and educating families. Nurses serve as the nerve center of multidisciplinary teams, providing in-depth knowledge and acting as a resource for patients, families, and other staff nurses. The position offers opportunities for shared clinical decision-making, inspirational leadership, and supportive colleagues, contributing to improved patient health and stronger communities. NewYork-Presbyterian is an internationally acclaimed hospital, leading in research, education, and compassionate care, serving a significant portion of New Yorkers in medical need as the nation's largest not-for-profit academic medical center.
