At NewYork-Presbyterian, oncology nurses are at the forefront of a bold new era in compassionate care, working in one of only 20 National Cancer Institute-designated centers for pediatric Phase I trials in the nation. The hospital has pioneered treatments such as intra-arterial Avastin for malignant brain tumors and low-dose CT scanning for early lung cancer detection. In this autonomous role as a Chemotherapy field nurse, the individual will float to inpatient units to administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, support patients, and educate families. Nurses also serve as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams and are expected to be a resource for patients, families, and other staff nurses, providing education focused on patient outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to be part of shared clinical decision-making, inspirational leadership, and a supportive environment. This is a per diem night position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.
