The C linical Nurse Educator is a profess i ona l nurse who provides c lini cal expertise , education , and leadership to support exce ll ence in home health nursing practice. Thi s position works independently with in- depth knowledge of home hea l th reg ulations , standards of care, and best practices to ensure sa f e, effective, and pat i ent-cente red care in the community. The Cl i nica l Nurse Educator serves as an educator, consu ltant , and role model, fostering professional growth and clinica l competence among home health nurses and home hea lt h aides. Key responsibilities include onboarding and orienting new clinicians, deve l oping and evaluating staff competency, coaching field c lini cians, and supporting continuous performance improvement initiatives. The C li nical Nurse Educator partners with managers to identify l earning needs, recommend spec i a l ized t r aining , and provide feedback on staff perfo rm ance. Th i s role emphasizes direct support o f clinical staff in the field , facilitating problem so l ving in real-time patient care situations, and promoting adherence to evidence-based practice , agency policies, and regulatory requir e ments. The C l inical Nurse Educator co llabo ra te s with lead e r sh i p to re commend staffing patterns and education strategies based on changing patient and commun i ty needs.
