Clinical Nurse Educator – Critical Care (ICU / CCU / ER)
About The Position
Heartline Staffing, a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting, is supporting a growing medical device organization in the search for an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator with a strong critical care background. This is a non-sales, field-based clinical role supporting hospital customers across Ohio and Indiana. This position is designed for a confident, take-charge Registered Nurse with deep ICU, CCU, or Emergency Department experience who enjoys education, leadership, and working directly with clinical teams in hospital settings. This is not a new graduate role and is not suited for candidates coming from outpatient, home health, corrections, or non-hospital environments. The Clinical Nurse Educator serves as a clinical expert for critical care disposable products, delivering education, in-services, and hands-on support while partnering closely with a regional sales team in a non-selling capacity.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent ICU, CCU, or Emergency Department clinical experience required.
- Must have experience working in acute care hospital environments.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience educating, guiding, or leading clinical teams.
- Must have an outgoing, take-charge personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel 50–65% within the assigned territory required.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical education and in-service training on critical care disposable products.
- Deliver hands-on product training to ICU, CCU, and Emergency Department clinical staff within hospital settings.
- Act as a clinical resource during product evaluations, conversions, and implementations.
- Support and collaborate with three regional sales representatives in a non-sales role.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with nurses, educators, and hospital leadership.
- Travel extensively throughout Ohio and Indiana to support hospital customers.
- Maintain clinical credibility and stay current on critical care best practices.
